Description

Shubh Aarambh is handwoven in Ghicha Tussar silk, a fabric loved for its natural texture, earthy sheen and breathable feel. It is hand painted in the Madhubani style, stroke by stroke, so no two pieces are ever exactly alike. Silk Mark certified, it is a saree made to be kept and passed on.

Design

Shubh Aarambh means an auspicious beginning. It is the turmeric on the hands before a wedding, the first lamp lit at a new home, the start that everyone gathers to bless.

Turmeric yellow has always carried that meaning, a colour of haldi, of purity and of good fortune. In Madhubani art, it is one of the most traditional and joyful shades. Shubh Aarambh brings that same warmth onto silk, a saree for the moments that mark a new start.
Care

Dry clean only. Store wrapped in a muslin or soft cotton cloth. Avoid direct sunlight and perfume on the fabric.
