Description

Sooryanarayana is a yellow Tussar silk saree, hand painted from border to pallu in traditional Madhubani art. Tussar is known for its natural sheen, rich texture and breathable drape, which makes it a lasting favourite for festive wear, weddings and special occasions. Every motif on this saree is painted by hand, so no two pieces are ever exactly alike.

Design

The saree takes its name from the sun god, Surya Narayana, and its warm yellow carries the glow of sunrise and the spirit of new beginnings. Madhubani painting is a centuries-old art form from the Mithila region of Bihar. It is known for fine line work, bold colours and motifs drawn from nature and mythology. On Sooryanarayana, each stroke is placed by hand on the fabric, so you wear a piece of living folk heritage.

Care

Dry clean only. Store folded in a soft muslin cloth and keep away from direct sunlight and moisture, so the hand painted colours stay vibrant.
